- Honest, trustworthy, and ethical
- Nice to work with
- Extra credit if you’ve worked with associations or online communities

We don’t do:
We’re not social media consultants or an agency. We don’t do social media training or campaigns. We’re not looking for social media experts or marketers. This isn’t a job about using your social media genius to do social media. It’s about helping other people thrive in a community where they can help each other. You don’t need be an expert on social media; you do need to be great at working with those who are.
What it’s like to work with us:
Imagine never having another boring day at work. Imagine a place free of politics and whiners. Combine that with amazing energy and productivity that cranks out astonishingly good work every day. We pay slightly better than average (with decent benefits and a great health plan). These are full-time, in-the-office positions based in Chicago or Austin. No relocation assistance is provided, and we’re not looking for telecommuters.

About GasPedal and SocialMedia.org:
Businesses everywhere are beginning to realize that honest, ethical customer love is the most powerful kind of marketing. They are learning to listen, to obsess over customer experience, to treat people like people, to value values, to respect the environment, to be part of the community — to be nice.
We teach them how to do it.
We believe that this is good for society — and that it’s a profitable business strategy. Companies that get their customers for free through the power of word of mouth have a fundamental competitive advantage over those that use expensive marketing to chase fleeing customers. Smart companies reinvest those savings in service, support, and innovation — putting them even further ahead.
GasPedal is a dream job if you are interested in blogs, social media, or the future of marketing. You won’t be just reading about the visionaries. You’ll be working with them to make the future more ethical and effective. Stop talking about this stuff — do something about it.
