Events Producer
Create fantastic, fascinating conferences about blogs, viral marketing, word of mouth, and social media
We do cutting-edge programs for very senior executives about blogs, word of mouth marketing, and social media. (Check out http://events.gaspedal.com for an example.) We want you if you love this stuff, live this stuff, and know how to use it to promote a conference.
People absolutely, positively love our events. They are edgy, creative, and packed so full of new ideas that heads explode by the end of the day. The format is usually the standard 2-day, 10-panel, 60-speaker, executive-type event or 1-day training course. The speakers are amazing, the pace is fast, ideas are deep, and there is never a boring minute.
We're looking for an experienced executive to manage all meetings and events for our rapidly-growing organization. Your job is to handle complete conference management, marketing, and content development. You will work with our editorial team to create fantastic programs, recruit the speakers, supervise the web site and online marketing, and manage all event logistics.
You are:
1. Familiar with marketing, social media, Internet, and related topics. Ability to write agendas and work with speakers to improve content.
2. Experienced with executive events with CEO-level speakers and attendees
3. Experienced at managing every aspect of a conference, including site selection, content, marketing ... well, everything
4. Experienced with conference web sites, online registration, and email (All of our marketing is online, so we value web experience over print/direct mail experience)
5. Incredibly stable, organized, and good-humored
You always get a good night's sleep the day before an event because all the details were taken care of a week before. You are ridiculously organized and love your giant ring binder and obsessive spreadsheets.
We do not need trade show sales or exhibit management. We are look for someone to run our conferences, not manage our participation at other conferences.
Compensation will include a juicy performance bonus.
